As Henry Moore said, "There's no retirement for an artist, it's your way of living so there's no end to it."
I do not "offer services" to "customers," I share art with patrons. If I had any other talent or ability, I would surely prefer to earn my money this way, in order to keep my arts, my passions, away from the commercialized world. And yet I have so found myself drawn in by demand -- of my audience, as well as my savings account -- that I am so compelled to join this Tischen community and see what bites I get.
I am perhaps not your "Painter" in the traditional sense. If you call me in, I will not go "up and down" in brush strokes, I will paint your room but with flourishes. With murals and hidden details. Your wall will become my canvas. I cannot allow it any other way.
If you have a canvas, I will paint your portrait, or your room, or your child, or your pet. If you want me to bring a canvas to do this, of course this is also possible.
If you would like me to bring my art by, I can do this as well.
I am always available, keeping no rest or time for food or life pleasures. My only pleasure is my art. And so I offer this to you, whenever you please to accept it.
I have no "hourly rate" -- and we can discuss your project to determine the appropriate exchange.
I am an artist. A novelist. A painter. A sculptor. My training is my art. My education is my art. My experience is my art. I have shared this training, this education, this experience -- this art -- with many as a sustaining force for myself, nourishing my stomach and my soul, clothing and sheltering my body and my creative being. THIS is all to be said on this topic.
