Babysitting and Special Needs Care:

I have worked in a day treatment center, and a summer camp for children with emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties, as well as in a school for students (ages 5 to 22) with various special needs including pervasive developmental disorders, developmental delays, mental illness, mentally challenged , and physical disabilities.

Elderly Care experience:

I've spent time caring for an elderly woman with Alzheimer's in a senior center. I did an internship with the elderly for my art/recreation therapy certificate from School of Visual Arts. The work consisted of one-on-one interviewing, scrapbooking and journaling, taking progress notes on each client as part of a treatment team, and group murals, including travel posters. I've also worked as a medical secretary for a year for a local area hospital (Sinai).
